Ski Line

Inspired and tested in Alaska, Colorado, Utah and South America’s Andes, the H2O Gear ATG (access the goods) ski line is custom handmade in the USA with the most proven, long term materials and construction techniques for performance and durability.

The foundation of our skis begins with our full length wood cores made from the highest quality lumber available. Our cores have been developed to be strong and lightweight, to reduce deflection and eliminate chatter.  The use of ash wood down the center of the ski achieves superior strength, stiffness, and improved binding screw retention. Aspen is also used in the core to create a durable, lightweight ski.  Basswood is used for the perimeter of the core to create a lightweight and durable ski.

Our tapered sidewalls are heat fused to our wood cores to protect the skis from edge damage while also keeping the ski durable, damp, impact resistant. Our skis are fully protected by oversized 4001 thick edges that wrap 360 degrees around the ski.

Our glossy nylon blended top sheets are durable, impact resistant, with real art graphics. This technology adds to the aesthetics and strength of our skis while still keeping them lightweight.

Unlike traditional fat twin tip skis, our ATG low profile rear tip can be quickly anchored into the snow, handled easily on a knife-edge ridge, and are a breeze to secure to your ski pack.

The names of Dean’s ski line are inspired from the Tazlina Glacier, the Kodiak Bear, the Chugach Range, as well as members of the Cummings family.

Each pair of skis is fully tuned to World Cup standards and comes with a customized stone grind, a ceramic disk edge polish/bevel and a multi-stage deep penetrating waxing process. The ATG ski line performs well in a variety of settings, from resort, big mountain, all mountain, touring and telemark skiing.
